AiTaC AI Tracking extension

What you need

A Windows PC running the AiTaC desktop app, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, and an activated AiTaC license with AI tracking permission. Viewing saved conversations also requires log permission. The extension works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity; those services may require their own accounts. The extension does not replace the desktop app or its license. See packages for desktop licensing options.

Install the desktop app

1. Get the Windows installer from Downloads and install it.
2. Open AiTaC and activate your license.
3. Start tracking. Ask your license administrator to enable AI tracking and log permission if needed.

Install the browser extension

1. Open AiTaC AI Tracking in the Chrome Web Store.
2. In Chrome, click Add to Chrome and confirm Add extension. In Edge, allow extensions from other stores if prompted, then confirm installation.
3. Disable older unpacked AiTaC copies, refresh your AI website tabs, and repeat installation in each browser profile you use.

Confirm recording

On a supported AI website, the badge shows Active in green when AiTaC permits recording, Paused in yellow when the app is connected but recording is disabled, and Offline in red when the connection is unavailable. Allow a few seconds for status changes.

Send a harmless new prompt and wait for the reply. Confirm both appear in AiTaC's Prompt and Response view and in Open Logs > Prompt and response. Existing conversation history is not imported. Active confirms the app's recording state; it does not guarantee that a changed website layout was captured successfully.

Troubleshooting

• Offline: Open AiTaC. Check that the extension is enabled, refresh the tab, and allow its local connection through your security software. Hover over the badge for details. Restart the app or reload the extension if needed.
• Paused: Start tracking and confirm the license permits AI tracking. Messages delivered while recording is paused are discarded and are not replayed later.
• Missing messages: Send a new sample prompt, check the correct browser profile and supported website, and review AiTaC's activity panel for storage errors. Website layout changes may require an extension update.
• Updates: Store-installed copies receive browser-managed updates. For manual copies, replace the files in their existing folder, click Reload on the extensions page, and refresh AI tabs.

While the app is unavailable, captured events wait in a bounded local queue for retry. Read Privacy for retention, encryption, and deletion details.
